1/2-1tsp (we recommend for all to listen to their bodies intuition, follow the dosage that most resonates with you)
Enjoy eleauthero as a hot drink by simply pouring boiling water over it and leaving it to brew for 10- 15 mins. If you are wanting a more potent effect then place 1 table spoon in pan, pour boiling water and bring to the boil and leave to simmer for 10 – 15 minutes to get a richer brew.
A little more information:
Evidence shows that Eleuthero (Siberian Gingseng) was first used as an herbal remedy in China at least 2,000 years ago. But funnily enough, the medicinal uses of Eleuthero were not studied by scientist until Panax ginseng, became scarce and difficult to obtain due to over harvesting. This prompted Russian scientists to begin screening other plants in the Araliaceae family (to which both Panax and Eleutherococcus are members) for related compounds. Eleuthero was found to have similar therapeutic effects, and became a substitute for the newly scarce Panax.
Eleuthero was previously known as “Siberian ginseng,” as it was native to the area where the studies occurred, and from the same family as Panax. However further study showed that Eleuthero did not contain ginsenosides (considered the adaptogenic constituents of Panax), but instead contained glycosides with similar properties.
